| School Meals Taylor Shaw are our school meal providers. As from September 2011 school meals will cost £1.50 per day (£7.50 per week). Packed Lunches If preferred, children can bring a packed lunch to school. This is eaten in the dining hall at the same time as the meals are served. Packed lunches should be brought in a named lunch box. If children bring a packed lunch drinking water is freely available on the table. Milk The school is part of the Cool Milk for Schools scheme, where milk is provided if required, to children in all classes. Children under 5 years are entitled to a carton of milk free, which is delivered fresh to school each day and stored in the refridgerator until morning breaktime. Once a child is 5 years old the milk can be bought at a cost of 14p per day. This is ordered direct from Cool Milk for School. The school handles none of the money or the ordering arrangements for the milk. please click on the link below.
Snacks Sweets and chewing gum are not allowed in school. If children require a snack at breaktimes, then healthy options such as easily peeled fruit are encouraged. Our school takes part in the Free Fruit Scheme. Each infant child is offered a piece of fresh fruit every day. Breakfast Club Time: 8.00 am - 8.45 am Cost: £1.50 per session. Breakfast Club operates each day. Two members of staff - the Breakfast Cook and the Breakfast Supervisor, run this provision. Children need to arrive at the main doors and go through our hall to the new breakfast room. A register will be taken, breakfast served and activities will be organised. Days when the weather is fine we allow children to go onto the field near the breakfast area as we have our own access point here. After breakfast children are then escorted to their classroom ready for the start of the school day. You can choose to stay one or two days or the full week. If you would like your child to attend we need to know in advance therefore payment is to be made on the Friday before a new week. |
