Uniform What will your child need?

School Uniform
The school has a uniform which, although not compulsory, is worn by the majority of the pupils. The colour is red. Jumpers, cardigans, sweatshirts and poloshirts are available with the school logo and can be purchased from the school if required. Waterproof fleece jackets are also available. Orders can be placed at the office.
Please note that children are not allowed to wear jewellery in school. |
All clothing marked with a name-tape or similar
This is crucial, as children can get very upset after PE when they think that the one remaining item of clothing is not theirs, and refuse to put it on! This can be resolved with a telephone call home, but this is a very time-consuming process. Please label your child's possessions.
Lost property is kept in the cloakroom until the end of the half-term. However, because of the sheer volume of unclaimed and unnamed clothing, this is disposed of during the half-term holiday. This usually includes coats, jumpers, shoes... Please check if your child has forgotten or lost something, and insist that they take responsibility for looking after their things. From the outset we expect children to become as independent as possible, to look after both the school's belongings and their own, and to put things away in the proper place.

PE Kit in a Bag
Our aim is to deliver 2 sessions of PE each week so our children require their PE kits. As a school we feel it is easier to bring PE kit into school on a Monday and take it home at the end of the week.
Children will need a white T-shirt, black/navy shorts and sandshoes. For the outdoor session a tracksuit or jogging bottoms are required. PE bags can be purchased from the school office. All items should be clearly labelled with your child's name. |
Reading Wallet/Bag
If required these can be purchased from the school office and are available in fabric or a plastic wallet.
